About The University

Bukhara State Medical University (formerly Abu Ali Ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical
Institute) was founded in 1990 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and has rapidly
developed into a key medical education and research center in the region.
Located in Bukhara, a UNESCO World Heritage city, the university is a public/government
institution run under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary
Specialized Education of Uzbekistan.
