About The University

Astana Medical University, commonly known as AMU, is a prominent medical university situated in Astana (Nur-Sultan), Kazakhstan. Initially established in 1964 as Tselinograd State Medical Institute, it was elevated to academy status in 1997, and finally became a full-fledged university in 2009. Since 2010, it has operated under the jurisdiction of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health and is part of the National Medical Holding.
